“Phantom” Walls in Fluent simulation

      Hi everyone,

I'm simulating a rotor using a MRF approach but whenever I import the mesh from the workbench mesher, two "phantom" walls show up as boundaries but whenever I try to display them nothing shows up. I've created named selections for every surface or group of surfaces but these numbered walls still show up.

Will these walls interfere on the solution?

The extra walls are linked to the two interface zones. They're for when (if) the interface surfaces don't fully overlap. I assume you have a non-conformal interface between the stationary and rotating parts? In most cases they can be left alone.

Hi, Rob, thank you for the answer!
The interface between the stationary and rotating parts is a cylinder with a conformal mesh. I tried to run the simulation as it was and it went smoothly.
Once again, thank you for the help.

      Best regards AFReis

If that's conformal check where the interface is as it sounds like you shouldn't have one. If you used Workbench Meshing it could be the auto detection picked up on the blades.
