SubscriberHello all,
I've build up a larger assembly out of surface elements. The next picture shows how the assembly looks in general.
When I do a simulation on this I get no problems, but I receive a Warning and an Error, when I add the surface in the next picture.
"Solver pivot warnings have been issued during the solution. This is usually due to a poorly conditioned matrix due to inappropriate material properties, an underdefined model, or contact problems. Check your results carefully."
"The equation solver has determined a pivot warning or a pivot error for the degree of freedom UZ of node 18728 in ship section 2D-1@surface-plane16. The reason is usually a poorly conditioned matrix due to incorrect material data, insufficient storage, or problems with contacts. Check the results carefully. You can select the affected object by right-clicking the message."
The next picture shows how I connected the two surfaces.
I have already spent quite a bit of time on this, so I would be grateful to get a hint on how to fix this problem.
Kind regards
Tim

Forum ModeratorHi, can you create a named selection for node - 18728 and see which part is giving you the issue? A modal analysis will help as well to visualize the free part.
