SubscriberCreate some valid bodies.
Please save a screen snapshot image file and use the Insert Image button to show what geometry you had.
One common mistake in SpaceClaim is to draw a sketch and put down some lines, but to not return to 3D mode where a closed set of lines would be replaced by a surface body. When close SpaceClaim and open Mechanical in that scenario, there are no valid bodies, because the sketch is not a body.

SubscriberActually I want to carry out plane stress analysis. I am using design modeler. I tried using step, parasolid , iges formats and created mid-surface also . So please guide me.

SubscriberIf you are creating geometry in DesignModeler, what are you doing with step, parasolid , iges formats? Those are for exporting.
You might learn something from this video.

SubscriberI knew those formats are for exporting. Actually I want to import geometries in design modeler.

SubscriberWhat CAD system are you coming from?
Have you created surfaces in the XY plane?
If your CAD system can export Parasolid, that works well in DesignModeler.
In Workbench, use a Static Structural analysis.
Right mouse click on Geometry cell and get Properties. In the Properties window on the right, under Analysis Type, change it from 3D to 2D.
Right mouse click on Geometry cell and select New DesignModeler Geometry (do not select Import because it doesn't work on the Student license).
In DesignModeler, File, Import External Geometry File and browse to the Parasolid file.

SubscriberI am using NX CAD system. I have done whatever you said above.

SubscriberI assume that after following the steps I provided, you still get an error?
Is the shape in NX a Facet Body? That is not geometry and will not transfer.
What version of NX do you have? I have NX 11 so put your NX .prt file into a .zip archive and after you reply with your NX version, you can use the Attach button to attach the .zip file to your reply. The file size must be < 120 MB.
