for now i have given a rotaional motion to the screw where it is fixed . But in reality the screw is also moving ahead .
so is it possible to rotate and move the screw ahead at the same time ?
i could only see the translational velocity in the definition of moving parts , did not see the new location to which it can be moved.
please help

Ansys EmployeeHello!
I assume you are simulating a screw extruder (a steady case or evolution). You can set both angular and translational velocity. I don't think you can specify any other settings like you mentioned above. Maybe this will help:
