Porous Media

My team and I are currently experimenting, we have to find the thermal conductivity of porous media. I'm not sure how to model a porous media into a CAD is there way to do it?

You make a simple (non-porous) domain in DesignModeler or any CAD software and then in FLUENT (or any solver) set a porous (properties) domain to your geometry and define the permeability an porosity of your designed porous medium.

You need to create geometry as you create for non porous zones.

The porous properties will be applied in Fluent.
