January 23, 2021 at 5:28 amJagmohanSubscriberHello All,nI am working on the unground Coplanar waveguide. I am confused with the port excitation.nWhich port does work for it? Lumped or wave port?nHow to assign the port excitation?.I really appreciate any help you can provide.nJM
January 25, 2021 at 1:05 pmrtkAnsys EmployeeHelloArray,I would suggest defining a Wave port for the Coplanar Waveguide fed model. nYou can find the details of port size for such scenarios in the help document. Please go through that for further details. The baseline conditions to define a wave port for coplanar transmission lines is like below:nThe left and right edges of each port must touch the left and right ground planes. We recommend that you make the port size 8h x 10w where w represents the width of the trace and h represents the height of the substrate.nnHope this addressed your concern.nBest Regards,n
February 2, 2021 at 11:56 amJagmohanSubscribernThanks for your suggestions.nI have tried almost many scenarios but the size of the trace is in micron-scale and the length is in millimeters. The size you have specified earlier is not working.nIf you have any suggestions please let me know.nThank you,nJMn n
