Are both instances of the software (R2 and R3) installed on the same PC right now? I have seen this problem, including on my own machine, but it is inconsistent on different PCs and with different releases.
I have spoken to Algoryx but we have not been able to locate the root cause. I will have to run some more tests tomorrow.

Hi Brian, I have the same issue, but in 2019 R2 version. I have 2019 R2 version only.

Both Algoryx and our licensing team are investigating this at the moment. I will update you as soon as I have some feedback.

Try going to File > SpaceClaim Options > License and manually selecting the Momentum option. One of the developers said he was able to get the add in working this way. It has not worked for me, but there are some other complicating factors on my PC at the moment that may be preventing it from succeeding. Make sure the user's Algoryx subscription is activated in their ANSYS account page.
It may be necessary to use the command line options to activate it.

I have resolved the issue on my own PC with the following steps:
- Release all subscriptions from myaccount.ansys.com
- Navigate to C:Users
AppDataLocal.ansys_licensing.activation and delete all activations - Launch SpaceClaim and select the Momentum option in SpaceClaim Options > License
- Restart SpaceClaim
At this point I no longer got the error and Momentum is available with the Activate button.
