SubscriberHi,
As a part of my research project i need to simulate my high-speed single compressor blade simulation in DDES turbulance model. I do have a converged solution (attached picture) using steady-state RANS 2nd Order scheme and i would like to know, do i have to follow the same procedure as LES model as mentioned in the fluent user manual for the DDES as well.

SubscriberHello,
you should follow the DES procedure as per the manual 13.12. Setting Up the Detached Eddy Simulation Model (ansys.com)

SubscriberThank you very much for the reply,
But according to the user manual there is a section how to initialize LES based simulations (13.19.5. LES-Specific Solution Strategies). So i am just wondering DDES based simulations also have to initialize like LES.

SubscriberFor DDES, a standard steady-state RANS should be sufficient.
