November 4, 2020 at 4:27 pmsolovievSubscriberHello,nWe previously asked about specs of workstations to verify they are efficient for ANSYS. We learned that there should be a 4-1 core ratio, but is this strictly 4-1, or as long as it is greater than 4-1 it is ok? We currently use 56 core workstations with 512 GB ram and it works well. We are currently thinking of purchasing more workstations with 1.5 TB ram and 56 cores. Would this be effective?nAnother point was that the size of the ram stick impacted the performance, we currently have 32 gb sticks, but are considering purchasing 64 gb sticks. Does this make a difference?.We also wanted to check the processors and graphics card before purchasing: n2 of these: Intel Xeon Platinum 8276 2.2GHz,(4.0GHz Turbo, 28C, 10.4GT/s 3UPI, 38.5MB Cache, HT (165W) DDR4-2933 2nd)nandnNvidia Quadro RTX5000, 16GB, 4DP, VirtualLink (XX20T)nnThank you,nAlexn
