Simple shear is a deformation in which parallel planes in a material remain parallel and maintain a constant distance while translating relative to each other.
Pure shear is an example of irrotational strain, in which the body is elongated in one direction while being shortened perpendicularly.
Sorry, I believe the forum link I shared with you shows simple shear instead of pure shear.
For getting a pure shear state, I have shown the boundary conditions below, in which I applied a displacement of 5 mm on perpendicular faces.
I have attached a figure below that shows simple shear and pure shear in ANSYS.
