你有看到文献是怎么计算的吗?
一般可以从能带结构里计算,请找一下相关参考文献。因为有K值(你需要将能带结构的点数换为K,即波数),又知道能带上给定频率的真空K0,就可以根据定义计算等效折射率。
也可以把两个不同波导截面的模式折射率做几何平均简单计算,前提是两个截面均支持模式。如果其中一个不支持模式显然无法用此方法计算。
此时有人用基底折射率与波导芯材料折射率做几何平均。
还有人建议将两个波导做平均计算这个等效波导的模式折射率。
你还可以用布拉格反射波长反推等效折射率。布拉格波长=2*周期*neff,当然需要你确认在指定频率上产生布拉格反射。
你需要琢磨一下,看看文献,再决定用什么方法。
