Subscriber你好,我正在求解TE0输入、TE0和TM0、TE1的输出效率,弯曲半径为60um。采用FDE跑出直波导和弯曲波导的两个mode list,请问要如何在以下两个list中分析TE和TM 呢?是根据TE polarization fraction 的值判断,还是系统会自动将TE和TM列好,如mode1为TE0,mode 2为TM0,mode 3为TE1,mode 4为TM1...以此类推呢?如果是按照TE polarization fraction 的值判断,如何判断在哪个数值区间内为TE0、TE1,哪个数值区间内为TM0,TM1呢?如下图一的mode3,其Ey=24,这是一个TE模还是TM模?是只有当Ey极小(如mode9的Ey=1)时,才为TM模吗?

Ansys Employee根据TE polarization fraction 的值判断,软件无法判断,因为不同人的定义可能不同,而且模式也不是完全的TE或TM,参见
Ansys Insight: 有关TE、TM偏振以及模式光源的问题
因此,图一的mode3,其Ey=24,这是TM模。同理,mode9的Ey=1也是TM模。
额外话题:弯曲时你用的Metal边界吧?应该用PML边界,以便计算模式损耗。
