Ansys EmployeeDo you have a locally hosted license file? If not, I recommend removing the Ansys License Manager if you've installed it locally, and remove the environment variable ANSYSLIC_DIR. Having this in place can cause these problems with the latest release.

SubscriberI don't think I have a locally hosted license file. I'm not sure. I downloaded the zip file from my university website.
Okay I will try to delete it but where can I uninstall the License Manager. Do I need to uninstall everything and install again?
November 4, 2021 at 5:36 pmANSYS_MMadore
Ansys EmployeeTo uninstall, run this from an elevated windows command prompt:
"C:\Program Files\Ansys Inc\Shared Files\Licensing\win64\ansysli_server" -k uninstall
Then delete the environment variable.

Ansys EmployeeYou do not need to uninstall everything else, just run the command provided.

SubscriberSorry for being stupid.
Here is what I got
The first return means "System can not find the route"
The second return means "not recognized as an internal or external command"
Does that mean I don't have the file anymore or it might be in another location.
Also it's the same feedback if I run Windows command prompt.

Ansys EmployeeSorry, please try this command:
"D:\Ansys\Ansys Inc\Shared Files\Licensing\win64\ansysli_server" -k uninstall
