SubscriberI have a mesh produced by an external mesh generation tool called PointWise. When the mesh was exported, it was configured specifically for Ansys CFX. The only case file output option PointWise had for CFX was the .grd format. I have tried to read in the .grd format into the CFX-Pre software however the software did not recognize the format. I was wondering if CFX is capable of reading .grd files and, if so, how would I read in the case.
Thanks!

Ansys EmployeeI believe that the .GRD format is a CFX-TASCflow format.
You can read about how to import this format in our online help> CFX-Pre User Guide here.
(This is our help section 10.1.3.8. CFX-TASCflow Files)

SubscriberThe link you provided me leads me to a separate login that does not appear to be connected to my student account. I was able to find the user guide here (https://www.sharcnet.ca/Software/Ansys/16.2.3/en-us/help/cfx_pre/cfx_pre.html). I have tried importing the mesh before using the approach described in the user guide (File>Import>Mesh) however I received the following error:
ERROR
There was a problem importing the mesh from the requested file.
The importing process reported the following problem:
Unable to import mesh: No 3D elements are present.
Any suggestions?

SubscriberThe link you provided sends me to another login that appears to be separate from the student account. However, I was able to find the user guide here (https://www.sharcnet.ca/Software/Ansys/16.2.3/en-us/help/cfx_pre/cfx_pre.html). I have already tried what the user guide suggests (File>Import>Mesh), but when I do this I receive the following error:
ERROR
There was a problem importing the mesh from the requested file.
The importing process reported the following problem:
Unable to import mesh: No 3D elements are present.
Any suggestions?
