Reason for large fluctuation of deposition mass flux on liquid film !

      Hello,

      I am using DPM and EWF models to simulate annular flow in a tube. Here F_EFILM_DPM_MASS_SRC(f,t) command is used to calculate DPM mass source on liquid film. From the plot below I see a large fluctuation in deposition mass flux, especially for high air velocity. What might be the reason for this large fluctuation?  Is it a normal case? Although entrainment flux showed a smooth line.

      I am dividing F_EFILM_DPM_MASS_SRC(f,t) by area_face to get mass flux.

      I am not sure why you are using UDF to access something which is available already in the variables: there you can access stripped mass and DPM mass source.

      How are you quantifying the entrained mass: is it the stripped mass in your case?

      Hello DrAmine,

      Here is the Film DPM Mass source I am getting from ANSYS directly. Still, I see a large fluctuation. What may be the reason for this fluctuation?

      Can you associate the plot with the events where DPM particles are hitting the wall film and getting absorbed there? If yes: that is the reason.
