May 24, 2022 at 7:50 amImtiaz GandikotaAnsys EmployeeIf you are referring to additional DOE runs of each iteration for constrained optimization, there are several options to reduce total number of runs.
If you have multiple load cases, skip using load case weights as variables under multi-point settings.
Use forward difference instead of central difference
Change DSA computation frequency and start DSA computation at maybe iteration 5 instead of 1.
With option 1, only mass fraction will be adjusted to satisfy design constraints instead of using both MF and load case weights. Using both variables may give you a better design compared to only MF variable. With option 2&3, there is a tradeoff between accuracy and computational cost.
