SubscriberHello,
I'm doing a parametric study in Ansys Fluent. I defined a geometry parameter called Height. Please see a screenshot below. I have no problem in doing this parametric study. It works well.
Now I want to define a Plane in CFD-post, and I want to set the X location as "Height/2" as shown in the following screenshot. It seems I can't do this. It seems Ansys wants me to define an expression first, and then put the expression here.
So I tried to define an expression as below. But I got an error message. I wonder how I can refer to the geometry parameter I defined before in CFD post.
Thank you.
Best,
Alex

Ansys EmployeeAs far as I know you can not use geometry parameters directly in cfd-post. Experts can comment.
You will have to define an expression first in cfd-post and then proceed.

Ansys EmployeeNot sure, it may be possible by workbench scripting. Experts may comment here.

SubscriberThank you Keyur for your reply. I tried to define an expression first in CFD-post, but I got an error message. Please see the screenshot below. I was trying to define a parameter named "Test" as Height/2 where Height is a geometrical parameter which has been defined in Geometry. Yet CFD-post didn't allow me to do this.

Ansys EmployeeYou can not use geometry parameters in expression.
I think this may need scripting.
