Reference temperature for specific heat for composite cylindrical domain

      Hello,

      I am working on the temperature distribution of a nuclear fuel rod. For uranium dioxide, specific heat changes according to this formula, Cp= 264.256+0.047*T. For Zircaloy-2 specific heat changes according to Cp= 255.66+0.1024*T.

      I plan to write UDF for specific heat according to the description of the ANSYS UDF manual. Like for UO2,

      DEFINE_SPECIFIC_HEAT(cp_u,T,Tref,h,yi)

      {

      real cp = 264.256+0.047*T;

      *h = cp*(T-Tref);

      }

      I have two solid materials. Then, how can I find and set Tref for each material? In Ansys 'Reference Values' the default Tref is 288.16K.

      UDF is not required. Just use  temperature dependent cp from built-in formulations.

      Hello Dr Amine,

      Are you recommending writing a 'piecewise-linear profile' for Cp as my original equation for Cp is linearly temperature dependent?
