      Why do you expect the maximum stress to be at the center?nWhat is a logarithmic profile?nIs the shape of the shaft a cylinder?nIs the shape of the rolling element cylindrical?nYou might need to reduce the displacement convergence tolerance on the Nonlinear Controls of the Analysis Settings. The default is 0.5% Try 0.001%nYou might need to increase the Normal Stiffness under the Advanced category of the Frictional Contacts to a higher value and make sure the Stiffness is updated each iteration.nn

      Hi PETER,nThe logirthmic profile is the shape of the rolling element.nThe stresses need to be having this shape and the maximum stress is obtaining at a point shown below in the picture below. This picture is taken after changing the suggestions made bz zou in the previous comment. i.e changing the displacement convergance tolerance and the updating the stifness factor to 10 and updating for each iteration. nI have split the rolling element and the shaft into bodies in the spaceclaim for better meshing.. does the meshing is the reason for this results.?nThanking you.n
