Is it possible to model multi layer surface coatings in ansys? Since Ansys doesn't give the option of surface coatings in the scoping method while creating a surface coating

You can model multiple layers/ shell elements.

But is it possible to stack multiple layers of surface coatings on top of each other?
Because when I try to create multiple coatings, the scoping method only allows to select geometry, there is no option to select a surface coating as a surface on which another coating can be modelled.
could you please shed some light on the issue?

Ansys supports Composite modeling. Read this chapter in the ANSYS Help system. First open the Help system, then copy/paste the following text into the URL address.

is it possible to define the adhesion between two layers that I have created as a composite? The geometry I am creating isn't an actual composite but its a combination of three surface coatings stacked on top of each other. I am trying to create that geometry as a composite. In this case, what should I do to define the adhesion between the each layer?

I don't know. Someone who knows a lot about composites might answer.
