SubscriberI believe in a past version of Mechanical it was possible to turn on the visibility of Remote Point Connections at any tree outline object (Geometry, Mesh, Connections etc.).
But I know for a fact, that it was definitely possible to turn on the visibility of Remote Points Connections while looking at the assigned materials (by color) in the Geometry window, as you can see from an older screenshot:
This option is now missing for at least 2 - 3 releases, I believe with the introduction of this button
which replaced this Details option (non-existent anymore):
From that point on it is only possible to see the Remote Point Connections by selecting "Remote Points" at the tree outline and turning their visibility on with the button, which is greyed out at any other tree outline object:
Is this shortcoming intended? If yes, why?
I find it awful, because it was a practical feature for screenshots/presentations to show the Remote Point Connections at any tree outline object (for me at least with materials).
Am I overlooking something?

Yes, the revised versions don't have an option to view Remote Point Connections in the material assignment.
You can view the Remote Point Connections if you click on 'Remote Points' in the Tree.
Thanks, Saumadeep

SubscriberHi.
Why is it removed? Why the "downgrade"?
Would you please forward my message to the Development to consider reintroducing the missing feature?
Thank you!
