Ansys EmployeeTo continue the calculation with reset residuals, will use the following TUI command: /solve/monitors/residual/reset? yes

SubscriberHi, I've read someone said using the TUI command: /solve/monitors/residual/reset just reset only on the display but the data still not reset.
Do you already solved this problem ? Can anyone explain more about this ?
Thanks,
James

Forum ModeratorTo add, if you need to reset the solution data you just re-initialise the model. It's very rare that we reset the residuals, but resetting the monitors (the command is in there somewhere too) is done more often when looking at cyclic transient simulations.

Ansys EmployeeAs James and others mentioned, by resetting the residuals, it will only reset the residuals to zero but it won't reset the data. Even you reset the residuals, you can still post-process the data. If you want to reset the data, better you can re-initialize the solution and continue the calculation.

Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation.
