Results without BC

I would like to understand how Live produces results without any boundary conditions. It is obvious that if I apply a load without any constraint, there cannot be deformation results.

It seems the system applies "fixed" constraint on some surface (all?) IMO this is very confusing and analysis should not run in this case...

The results produced when no boundary conditions have been defined are negligible.

Discovery Live does not attempt to define any true constraints in order for the simulation to run.

BBueno_ANSYS An interesting thing to note is that if you fail to constrain a beam and add a load at the end, you get something like the following first/second attachment. Will Discovery Live add this constraint "randomly" or does it do so following an confidential algorithm? I ask on my behalf because failing to properly constrain a relatively complex model and not being aware of that can yield to deceptively incorrect results (and have done so on my end).

I have noticed this as well.  I have spoken to the development team about this and it seems like we will need to add an error message to notify the user when the model is missing any constraints.

There's no "true" constraint being added by Discovery Live.  The results being shown are just the way the model behaves when no support conditions have been defined.
