RHT with Euler element

      Hi,

Does anyone have experience using RHT material model in Euler element. Seems that I can't assign Euler elements with RHT due to Euler not able to support directional failure. But I saw papers modelling RHT with Euler elements before. Wonder how this could be done.

Hi @HWM, RTH is an Brittle material and its most suited with Lagrange and Particle Methods. Coming to support of Euler element type its not supported. I have found an paper on simulating the RTH with blast loading employing AUTODYN and LSDYNA as follows (check validation section of following paper)
Even here, the slab is Lagrange and Air and Blast to be Euler and they also used *MAT_072R3: *MAT_CONCRETE_DAMAGE_REL3 where the solver will only supports solid ,shell ,thick shell and Acoustic solid and it also missing 8A for Euler element.
      Cheers, Ram
