Hi Support,
Â
If I'm trying to simulate the effect centrifugal fan can this be done by using the rotating wall condition or is this not possible in Discovery?
Â
In the model attached I have a simple volume with a rotating wall on a cylindrical face.
Â
Have you any examples of a rotating wall in a model?
Â
Help files aren't that useful and I'm not sure the results I am getting in this example are functioning as expected.

Swirling flow only adds a rotational velocity to flow inlet.Â
Let me check the model you have shared and get back to you.

Apologies for the misunderstanding. I thought you were simulating Swirling flow.
Rotating wall gives the specified rotational velocity on the wall face.Â
I don't think it is a good approximation for a centrifugal fan. -
