Hello I am trying to create a script that uses the interferences tool.  Unfortunately this tool doesnt record in the macro.  Is there any way to make this happen?

I tried recording interference tool, and it was able to record script checking for the interference. 

Can you please share the API version you are using and screen recording the steps you are doing? That will help me investigate the issue.

Atharv Joshi Thanks for looking. I am on API v23 inside spaceclaim R2023r1. Also have the same problem In R2022 R2 API v22.

I start the recording with selection set to index and verbose. I box select the bodies and hit interference volumes and the tool runs but nothing appears in the script. Then I create the interference volumes and still nothing appears. Changing those bodies to red colour in the next step, and that does appear in the script.

FlavaDave Thanks for sharing the video.

Are you looking to measure the interference volume and create a new solid which represents the interference, or do you want to remove the interference? 

If you try recording the script from Prepare tab. It removes the interference and records the script. I have attached the video for the same. 

I will check why it doesn't record script when in measure tab>>interference volume. Also, let me know If using interference from prepare tab solves your problem.

No I wanted to create the bodies from the interference then turn them red.  Then fly through the model in x-section view to identify the cause of the interference.  So unfortunately the prepare option doesnt work for me.

I have imported Collision in SpaceClaim which helps identifying intersecting bodies. Furthermore, measured the volume and highlighted the body in red.

Please check the attached geometry and script. Let me know if this solves your problem.

Thank you for that.  That seems to have the right functionality.  I need to dig in to understand all the code but I think you have solved the problem.  Can I ask how you were able to discover the correct function to use?   Is there a big list somewhere?  Thanks again.
