Scripting to analyse different step files

  Hi,
  
  I want to use the scripting to automatically analyse different geometries that I read in to discovery live. I.e. I don't want to edit the geometry in spaceclaim/discovery live, but I want to analyse different (but similar) step files.
  
  Is there a way to do this? E.g. if one of the parameters in my parameter study was an integer linked to the name of the stp file to be read in?
  
  Or can I script the creation of boundary conditions etc so that I can script the whole reading in, setting up and analysing process?
