SubscriberHello,
Is there an option to solve a model for a selective portion, for example, if the model has shells elements coated on the solid elements and the stress request could be made just for shells.
This results request for a portion of the model reduces the results file size, in NX prgram of the structre analysis.
There is an option in Workbench, to evaluate the results for shells/surface coating after the solution, but need to request for it before submitting the analysis, if it reduces the results file size and solution run time.
Thanks for the help.

SubscriberHello Ashish,
Thanks for your refering to the link.
Some FE Analysis programs have options of specific results output request for a certain portion of the FE model and this reduces the results file size, and if a different post processor is used for post processing and creating a 3d html file with results contour, the smalle size file helps to expediate the process.
I am not aware of this option of selective results option in ANSYS, to make results file size, smaller.
If there is an option, knowing of this will be helpful.
