Setting helium coolant properties

      Dear forum,

I would like to have a question regarding the setup of helium coolant in my problem using ANSYS Fluent.

In my case, helium coolant operates at the condition as follow

      • mass flow rate inlet: 0.011 kg/s
      • inlet temperature: 350 C
      • operating pressure: 4MPa

The thermal properties of helium coolant in material section is shown as in picture below (default):

Hi,nAre you solving an incompressible flow problem? If that is the case, then you should be good with these properties. Otherwise, I'd definitely look into using a different density (perhaps, an ideal gas law). nThanks.nKarthikn

Dear Kremella,nYes, i am solving an incompressible flow problem. I try to solve problem with ideal gas law as you mention.nThank you very much,n

If you are solving an incompressible flow, I'd say use the constant properties. nThanks. nKarthikn
