SubscriberHello, I'am modeling an ship roll natural decaiment in Ansys fluent, and validating it with an experimental results of my laboratory.
My problem is that the ship is not damping as it should be as follows, experimental(orange) and what I obtained in Ansys(blue):
Any idea on how can I make the results close to each other? Now, I'am working with my pressure coefficient around 1.6 to control better my dynamic mesh(I was 1 before) and I've seen little improvemente in 1.3 to 1.6 so I don't know if if better to try higher values.

Ansys EmployeeWhat is the working fluid? Is it the same as for your experiment?
If working with liquids, I would suggest using Compressible liquid formulation in Materials tab. Sometimes, you may get pressure spikes with incompressible liquids, which may result in the overshoots that we are seeing.

Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation.
