Simulation of MoS2 with Au Nanoparticles

      I need to study the electric field enhancement of Au nanoparticles with MoS2 material. Someone, please explain how I can input the required parameters of MoS2 into the FDTD software as these are not available in the FDTD directory. Or simply how to add a new material of known dielectric constant to the FDTD software?

      If you know the permittivity/refractive index, or surface conductivity, you can add new "sample 3D data" (permittivity and refractive index), or "sample 2D data" (surface conductivity).

      Of course, if it is a single valued real refractive index, you can directly add it in Object:

      Thank you for responding so quickly to my inquiry. With the help of the Ansys courses, I was able to add the sampled 3D data with known refractive index values.
