SubscriberHello All
i have imported sketch from autocad as dwg, as can be seen in photos, you can see in zoomed photo, there are many closed figures, in the dwg which i imported.
i expect that spaceclaim should created automatic surface for such closed curves.
but why after importing,it is not making surface for closed curves by itself??

SubscriberIn SpaceClaim, you can check the box for Layout Sketch. That will prevent closed loops from automatically changing into surfaces.
You can select a closed loop then click the Fill button on the Design tab to create the surface manually.

SubscriberHi Thanks Peter
See steps below
1)I imported sketch
2) I click on plane associated with given sketch and go on sketch mode
3)if un tick or tick "CREATE LAYOUT CURVES"...it bringing no automatic surfaces for closed sketches.
i dont want use patch tool, as i have such sketches almost 100, it will consume crazy time.
now can you telll what still i am missing.
what you said it works if i a make such closed sketches inside spaceclaim, as the sketches in photos above are imported from Autocad,it doesnot create automatic surfaces for closed curves.
I dont undesrtand why

Subscriberok ,it works, i mean it is creating automatic surfaces over closed sketches.but it only create when i move the input sketch some distance and than delete its associativity with its associated plane(in simple word, i delete taht plane)
Other problem is its filling automatic surfaces after following this MOVE command step, but its creating all filled closed curves as one single surface.
i want them to remain seperate, what shall i do???...i need them ssperate surfaces as i want provide thickness to them seperately as all have different thickeness
