Discovery Live doesn't use all the available GPU and consumes memory which is only required for that geometry and physics involved. As you are seeing results on the geometry, it confirms that the GPU memory was utilized to solve the problem. While the simulation runs you can see jump in the gpu usage. Once the solution completes, you will again see less gpu memory being used.

SubscriberNaresh Patre HI
This is the point. I clicked play button and continuously monitored the GPU CPU performance. I have seen that GPU was utilized at ZERO manner and solely the CPU was used. THIS IS THE QUESTION WHY? I KNOW THE THEORY BUT IT DOES NOT FIT THE REALITY IN MY CASE EVEN I HAVE A GOOD GPU.
So please help how to utilize it. If u want I can show u on team or webex.

With Windows Task Manager tool, the memory usage reported is sometimes incorrect. It is recommended to use external tools for monitoring memory usage. For GPU, you can try using GPU-z while for CPU, you can try using Process Explorer tool for monitoring memory usage. Both of these tools are freely available on the internet.
Using the above mentioned external tools, the bracket example consumed about 55% of CPU memory while solving and my GPU goes to 70%. The CPU usage is expected as a little bit of the computation uses CPU compute resources.

SubscriberNaresh Patre HI Thanks for the hint. You know what I have figured out when I open the spaceclaim and solve the first model the GPU is utilized however if I add a new solution (modal ,structural etc..) In the second solution purely the CPU used and not the GPU anymore.
I need to check whether I can run the above mentioned tools on my corporate desktop as I am not admin so I cannot install any software on it.

I ran the inbuilt bracket example and then performed a modal simulation. The GPU memory usage for modal simulation was around 90% and CPU usage around 60%. If you are monitoring the memory usage using Windows Task Manager, then the reported values may be incorrect as mentioned earlier. You will have to use the external memory monitoring tools to get better understanding of the memory usage.
