Hello,

I'm trying to offset  the surface of the attached picture using SpaceClaim but got Operation failed error message.

Would you please help me to resolve the problem?

The Offset operation in the Design tab is intended to create a pairing between 2 faces and maintain a constant offset or thickness, as in the inner and outer diameter of a pipe.

The faceted model you are using is not suitable for this operation.  I would recommend copying and pasting the desired surface.  You can then use the Move tool to offset it from the original body.  You can also use the Pull command (No Merge optional) to create a thickened solid beginning with the duplicated face.
