SpaceClaim phyton script name selection problem

Hello everyone, I want to automate processes in spaceclaim because I am dealing with similar geometries but I have a problem with using name selection in script. For instance, I have a box and I want to split edges and create a plane. While I am doing this, I record script and save it but I want to use that script for another geometry too. I mean, when I import a rectangular box, I want to create name selection for edges and run script to split them and create plate. I tried different things but I failed.
Is it possible ? How can I do that ?
