Sparse Solver in UDF

      Hello.

I created a post on old version of forum regarding the topic of linking intel MKL to UDF. I got a response that it is not possible, thanks for Kremella for answer. Kremella also mentioned that maybe it will be possible to find alternate option of solving my problem if I describe my goal.

I am simulating a heat transfer in multilayer, porous material with focus on radiation. For some reasons I am not using the Fluent radiation models (I can explain why, but it is not important), but I use my own radiation model written in C. It was tested and works properly. Now I want to solve the energy equation (and flow in the future) using Fluent and use my own model to calculate the radiation heat transfer using a couple of UDFs. In one UDF I need to solve a sparse matrix and previously I was using intel MKL PARDISO for this and that is why I wanted to link mkl to Fluent. However I can use any efficient sparse matrix solver.

So my general questions is: is there a possibility to use an external library which have sparse solver (e.g. LAPACK)? If yes how to achieve that or where should I look for a help?

I would be grateful for any help.

Have a look in the links - yes it can be done, but it's not going to be easy.
