Species gradient for interphase mass transfer in two phase flow

      Hello All,

We're very limited on what UDF support we can give. For the macros, check the documentation, but I'd be very surprised if the saturation values featured in the species/phase gradient calculation.
You can find the distance from a "something" to the nearest cell centre, or more likely the position of a "something" and then find the nearest cell centre.
Mass transfer is available in VOF, check you've got species turned on before turning on mass transfer. How well it'll work given the free surface maths is another question: Eulerian is generally better but work is ongoing on the multiphase tools so keep reading the update notes in the manual.

Thank you for your response. I have follow up questions but I will create a different discussion for that.

Look at wall boundary layer model : actually you require similar model I won't rely on approaches requiring distance to free surface. Phase Change will just occur at interfacual cells where interfacial area is non zero

I am working on a similar problem. Please get in touch via email: shitizsehgal@tamu.edu
      I can try to help.
