SubscriberGood evening,
my problem is that i don't know how to design a 3D spring. I found some tutorials in which is used the function sweep , and it allowed to specify the number of turns , but in my version of the program ( Ansys student workbench 2019 R3 ) i can't find those options.
Any suggestion ?
Thank you -

SubscriberWhat kind of spring do you need to design?
What are the requirements on the spring?
- Free Length
- Working Length Range
- Working Force Range (from this and the previous a spring rate is calculated)
- Space Envelope
- Number of cycles of load it will see in a lifetime of product use.

SubscriberI don't need all this settings, i just need to design the geometry , with some data i know like the length, the number of coils, etc.

SubscriberI use a Spring Design program to design coil springs, it's much faster and easier than using ANSYS.
