SubscriberHi, I asked the same question before, when I was working with Ansys Meshing:
https://forum.ansys.com/forums/topic/can-i-add-a-stair-stepping-of-the-inflation-layer-at-a-certain-point/
But now I am wondering if the same thing can be done in Fluent meshing.
I am working with the watertight geometry workflow, but I want to remove the inflation layer for some part of my geometry.
Is that possible?
Kind regards,
Freek

Ansys EmployeeIt is, but you'll need to remove the Workflow inflation and add a task into the workflow to inflate the bits you want. The purpose of the Workflow is to simplify using Fluent Meshing: you'll need to work with the "normal" interface to do this so please read the documentation and look for examples before you start: there is no undo button.

Ansys EmployeeIn new workflow, prisms will be generated on all 'walls'. Only inlet, outlet and internal are excluded from prism generation. So if you want to exclude any boundary zone from prism generation, please change its type to say 'inlet' and generate mesh. After generating mesh and going to solver, you can change it back to wall. This should solve your issue.
