Static Structural Analysis – Changing pressure value doesn’t change node location

      Hello everyone,

I am currently trying to simulate a Bipolar Plate (BP) that is experiencing 1-3 MPa of pressure on the top surface. This BP will push on the Gas Diffusion Layer (GDL) that it is connected at the bottom. I expected as I increase the pressure, the BP will move downward more and thus the thickness of the GDL will decrease. However, after trying different pressure values, the y value of the node stays the same. I even tried 100 MPa and still yielded the same result. I used probe to check the y location of the node. The first figure is 1MPa and the second is 3MPa. Yet the y locations are pretty much the same in both. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

      Thank you in advance.

Plot Directional Deformation and set it to the Y axis. Also, set the displacement scale factor to 1.0 (True Size) on the Result ribbon.

      Hello Peter
Thank you so much for your help. The displacement scale factor was the reason why my node location was off. I have been stuck on this problem for so long and I finally fixed it. I really appreciate your help.
