Hello and thanks in advance,
I’m not sure this even belongs here.
I have trouble with a STL I exported Static Structural Analyses. If I export from a result which includes all bodies, I can open the file in a CAD-Program, but that’s not the case if I export only single-body-STL’s. The export itself works, but the file can not be imported in to another software.
I know it should work because I did it like this bevor, but somehow that’s no longer the case.
Does someone know what is causing this and how to chance it?
Thanks for your help!May 6, 2021 at 9:49 pmpeteroznewmanSubscriberPlease attach examples of single-body STL files that don't import, as well as examples of all bodies STL files that do import. Put these STL files inside a ZIP file. You can attach the ZIP file to your reply and say what version of ANSYS you are using.

I'm using 2020 R1 (Academic Research and Teaching).
Thanks for the help!

I can open the large file in SpaceClaim. Then I use the Separate -All button on the Facets tab to break the single facet body into six bodies.
