SubscriberHello friends. My task is two cylinders hit, inside of them there are teeth at an angle. First they hit and then they slide. I made only a 1/10 section with one tooth to solve this problem quickly. But I can't fix a chainring that falls so that it slides after the impact. If I use displacement then the cylinder will not slide along the axis. How to correctly set the movement of a cylinder that is falling?
In a static calculation, I could set a contact without friction here, but in LS-Dyna it is not

Ansys EmployeeNot quite sure what you are trying to do. Will frictionless contact help here?

Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation.
