Structure Mesh | Air-cooled for li-ion battery

      Hi there,

      I have a model of 28 cells 18650 li-ion battery here. It's just a cylinder like this.

      Surround of this is air domain (cubic shape).

      I meet the problem with mesh.

      I found the structure meshing with high quality, but I don't know how exactly to create that. About cylinder, maybe I'll split 1 cylinder into 5 part. It's ok.

      But about the domain, I don't know.

    Thank you so much I'll watch your video you suggested. But, whether structure mesh is so much better than unstructure mesh in my simulation ?
    Because time to build structure mesh like this I think it is a long time.
    About unstructure mesh, ensure about orthogonal quality, skewness quality, ... is enough for useable mesh ?

    The min orthogonal quality should be above 0.1 to proceed to solver. If it is less than 0.1 then please improve the mesh.
    First check the locations of the bad elements. Please see following video for the same.

    Once you have locations, please check if you can improve mesh using different mesh sizing. Please see following video.

    If this does not help, you may need to check if you can use pinch control or virtual topology.

    If this does not help, please go to geometry and modify or simplify geometry at those locations in SpaceClaim.
