Student Edition SpaceClaim – Unable to export to any other format

      Hi

I use spaceclaim at the university of Southampton as teaching tool.  Up until recently I've been able to save my files to other formats such as step, 3dm, iges, dxf etc but now I'm only able to save as a scdoc.  Is my licence not allowing me this option?

      Regards

      Richard

Student edition hasn't had CAD export options for several releases. The Teaching licences on the University system do: can you check which you're using?

Not sure.  I downloaded it from the Ansys website.

From here   https://www.ansys.com/academic/students   or   here  https://download.ansys.com/Current%20Release  ?  The latter is the full licenced version which would then need to be connected to the Uni network licence manager.

        Hi

        Thanks.

Can you tell if the university currently has a licence that I can connect to?

I can't, this site is "public" so I can't share any details.  If you're teaching a class there I would assume there is one. Note, do NOT put Student and a licenced version of the software on the same machine. Student is intended for learning, not to replace Uni supplied tools and the licence systems aren't compatible.
