I am having particular issues with singular-ish behavior at the edges of my boundary cuts... below is a screenshot of the behavior.
There is additional geometry not shown, but essentially it is a flange that bolts into the 3 holes shown...
Would cutting through a contact region(s) like this on the edges (contact = plate to flange) cause this behavior? -

You should not have cut bcs defined at the region of contact/ cut through contact region.

If i place the cut boundaries "far enough away" from the region(s) of interest (stress concentration), is the simulation results still valid around the stress concentration?
