subtest kinetic energy

  I want to calculate subgrid scale kinetic energy.
  I found subtest kinetic energy: (
  the turbulence kinetic energy of filtered eddies
  )
  Why using subtest, not sub-grid. seems quite confusing.
  BTW: how to find my previous posters? I can't find them under my profile.
