Ansys EmployeennPlease use a Contact Result Tracker to see the change in Contact Status:nnnAnsys employees cannot download the attachment. A change in the contact status may not be the reason for non-convergence. Can you share the snapshots of the setup and the error message you see?nRegards,nAshish KhemkannJanuary 29, 2021 at 2:16 pmSumaya061
SubscriberI tried to upload the wpbz file but it exceeded the limit of 100 MB. Is there any way I can upload an downloadable attachment of the file for possible solution for convergence? nJanuary 29, 2021 at 2:36 pmAshish Khemka

Ansys EmployeennThe mesh looks too coarse. Can it be refined? Are all the contacts bonded? Any reason to change the Newton-Raphson option to Full? How much force are you applying?.Regards,nAshish KhemkaJanuary 29, 2021 at 2:43 pmSumaya061
SubscriberIf possible to download you can decompress to check out the file. nJanuary 29, 2021 at 2:47 pmSumaya061
SubscribernIs the problem due to mesh refining then I can try to define refined mesh can you suggest optimum element size for that? nYes defined all the contacts to be bonded with each other as suggested before. nI did the Newton Raphson to be defined as full as I was checking the solution in the mechanical help where it suggested to use the Newton Raphson option to use as full control.nI was applying 10 N compressive load from the above keeping the lower surfaces fixed. nJanuary 29, 2021 at 2:50 pmSumaya061
SubscriberI uploaded another zip file let me know if it is accesible or not. If it is can you modify the settings to make it converge if possible or suggest me for making possible changes? nJanuary 31, 2021 at 3:56 pmSumaya061
SubscriberI could not access the following link-nCan you give me suggestions of the content? nFebruary 1, 2021 at 7:40 amAshish Khemka
Ansys EmployeeHi Array ,nnTo access Ansys Help please use the following link: ,nnTo access Ansys Help please use the following link:nAlso, for bonded can you try using an MPC formulation? Check for Contact Initial Information before running the analysis to see if the contact is established (closed in this case) or not.nnRegards,nAshish KhemkannFebruary 1, 2021 at 6:28 pmSumaya061
SubscribernOkay I am going to try mpc formulation in preprocessing. nApart from that was it possible to access the workbench file? Would you highlight any other points based on the current settings? nFebruary 2, 2021 at 9:17 amAshish Khemka
Ansys EmployeennI am not allowed to download the attachment. Please see if MPC formulation helps.nnRegards,nAshish KhemkanViewing 12 reply threads- You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
