I am new to learn Ansys, and I have a problem regarding to surface geometry dimension.
i want to simulate using surface model as it will be faster, but I confuse how to represent the dimension of surface that will be close enough to the solid model.
I try to simulate using the same thickness, boundary condition and force but the result is far different.
can you suggest me which surface model should i use?

A fixed support creates a stress singularity and the singularity is more severe for solid elements, so you can't compare the stress in the nodes at the fixed support and expect them to be equal. Compare the stress in the fourth row of nodes from the fixed end and you will find the stress is much closer. The shell model is an approximation to the solid model, so you will not get the exact same answer.
Middle offset is generally the best choice. Automation in Workbench allows you turn on Shell Thickness Effect in some Details. Look for that if you are adding Frictional Contact to your model.
