Subscriberhi i have been asked to solve CASE LOAD 1 of the attached file
i"m not sure if the surface area where to apply the force is just the upper semicyrcle surface of the ring, or the whole inner surface of the ring.
as i get different stress results for both cases
can someone help me
thanks

SubscriberCan you provide pictures of the problemnnMarch 9, 2021 at 1:13 pmisacco83
SubscriberArrayArraybasically, im not sure which is the appropiate option as they gave me different results, nthe case is: a pin which apply a vertical force up inside the two rings, the pin has the same diameter of the ring, thus it touch the whole inner surfacenthe options i was thinking about are:n1 - A force applied only to half superior inner face (file 1)n2 - A force which apply to the whole inner surface (file 2)n3 - A bearing load applied to the whole inner surfacenthanksnnViewing 2 reply threads- You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
