SubscriberI would like to be able to create a structured mesh for my cyclone, however I'm having trouble creating a swept mesh in the tangential inlet from the cylindrical surface as it will not allow me to apply that face. Perhaps the face has to be split to be the same size. Any tips to get this to work would be appreciated. (nb the tangential inlet is sweepable but the cylinder not).

Ansys EmployeeIn image both bodies are meshed with sweep hex mesh correctly. So what exactly you need? nIt is a non conformal mesh. For conformal, you will need to do share topo in DM or SpaceClaim. nFor sweep meshing please check nRegards,nKeyurnHow to access Ansys Online Help DocumentnHow to show full resolution imagenGuidelines on the Student CommunitynHow to use Google to search within Ansys Student CommunitynFebruary 2, 2021 at 10:57 ams.petley
SubscriberDear KeyurnThank you for your suggestions. However when I apply to share topology option as in the video it conflicts with the MultiZone used on the cylinder. I originally drew the geometry in solidworks should I redraw in DM?.Kind regards,nSeannFebruary 2, 2021 at 12:23 pmKeyur Kanade
